Sailing Activities and Events on San Francisco Bay
We organize sailing events designed for fun and making it easier for you to get on the water and meet others in the OCSC Sailing community. You don't need to be a member to enjoy these activities -- they're open to everyone. Only the "member-only" events are limited to OCSC members. Wednesday Night Sails
Escape for a few hours of well-deserved midweek R&R and you will wonder how you ever got through the week without it.
Timed Circuit Racing
Members can charter a boat, assemble a crew, and race the clock through a challenging set of maneuvers. We'll have a race course set up with a committee boat to start you, take your times and offer suggestions for improvement.
Moonlight Sails
Our single most popular winter event offers fun for everyone. Two hours of sailing under a moonlit sky followed by an apres sail party.
Skippered Charters
Rent a boat for full or half day and hire a professional OCSC skipper to give you a tour of San Francisco Bay.
Angel Island Picnic Sails
Join us for a picnic and day of sailing to beautiful Angel Island. Take this opportunity to come and make some new friends from OCSC.

This event runs year 'round. Enjoy a day sail and see all your friends (and make new ones).
Women Sailors of OCSC
OCSC women sailors are a group of women who enjoy sailing, adventure and other activities here at OCSC. The aim of women only sailing is to create a learning environment that fosters confidence and growth. We offer monthly Moonlight and Wednesday night sails as well as educational and fun sails throughout the year. Many of our sails require previous sailing experience and a few are open to all women. We invite all interested women to join us anytime.
Whether you are new to sailing, taking lessons, or are an experienced skipper, you'll be welcome at the Women Sailors meetings and sails.
Flotilla Planning Parties
The easiest and most economical way to enjoy bareboat chartering is by sailing with an OCSC Flotilla. Join us for a planning meeting.
Annual Events
Spring Fling Party
This is our Annual Spring Season Kick-Off Party where we toast the winds and seas of the San Francisco Bay! Everyone is welcome.
Berkeley Kite Festival
Each year, the Berkeley Marina transforms into the most amazing display of kites, kite acrobatics, and kite masters you'll ever see. Come down and check it out.
Summer Sailstice
A global holiday just for sailing? Yes, it really is! This event has picked up speed since its creation in 2000 -- so much that it now attracts thousands of sailors worldwide. But the best party is at OCSC.
Fleet Week
Air shows, a parade of ships, and more. Watching the Blue Angels from the deck of a sailboat is the only way to go. Be sure to wave at the pilots as they fly inverted, right over your mast.
4th of July
Good news, we’ve got the best seat in the house for 4th of July…The middle of the Bay! Charter one of our yachts or find friends on the Crewlist.
OCSC Holiday Party
Trim the tree along with those sails! Celebrate the holiday season with us, and let us thank you for another wonderful year.

Sign Up & Sail Days
You never thought it could be this easy. When a "Sign Up and Sail" day is announced, all you do is email your name in and we pair you up with a crew or skipper who we think you'll be compatible with.
Le Tour de Bay
The Tour de Bay is an opportunity for OCSC members and friends to sail together every few weeks to new and interesting cruising locations around the Bay.
