This is the second of a three-part seamanship series where you'll learn the rest of the important seamanship concepts needed for skippering a boat safely on San Francisco Bay. This course will help you answer that eternal question, "What now, skipper?"

  • How to effectively lead harbor/marina procedures

  • Anchors and anchorages

  • Introduction to Bay Area weather

  • Handling emergencies

    Vessel grounding, vessel taking on water, rigging or engine problems, steering problems, medical emergencies, other mariners in distress

    2–5 pm on Sundays

    7–10pm on Tuesdays


  • Expert Lecturer

    Your lecture will help refine and expand your knowledge of skipper responsibilities, handling emergnecies, knowing the bay weather, and other vital pieces of information to ensure your voyages are safe and smooth.
