Chilean & Argentine Patagonia Adventure

Machu Picchu ArticleThis 12-day adventure to Chilean and Argentine Patagonia offers broad exposure to this corner of the world. On this amazing adventure, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views ofmountains, glaciers, and turquoise Machu Picchu Articlelakes as you hike the trails of the famous ice-clad peaks and towering granite needles of Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, gaze at the sheer-walled granite shark fin of 11,073 foot Fitzroy and absorb the striking slender peak of Cerro Torre on Argentina’s Los Glaciares National Park.

Discover the most beautiful treasures of Torres del Paine NP, with easy and active programs, while enjoying superb comfort and ease at the new sustainable EcoCamp’s Suite Domes. The EcoCamp consists of tented igloo-type domes built to minimize the environmental impact while providing a comfortable setting and maximum exposure to nature. There is electricity available for charging just camera batteries. Food at the EcoCamp is plenty and delicious!

You’ll also take a relaxing sail through the oceanic fjords and inlets of the Chilean coastline, which is home to a diverse amount of wildlife including whales, seals, dolphins, and Magellanic penguins. The vast unbroken stretch of ocean to the west and south of theSouth American continent leaves the Patagonian Andes very exposed to winds that circle the Antarctic landmass. In summer (December to March) you should come prepared to find strong cold winds (up to 130 km/hr) and rainfall. The summer’s average temperature is 11ºC/52ºF (24ºCmax, 2ºC min).
