Petaluma Flotilla

Don't have time to travel to Europe, the South Pacific, or even Mexico?

Take a closer vacation and sail up the relaxing Petaluma River, a channel that runs fourteen miles from the north end of Petaluma to the San Pablo Bay. The river is enjoyed for its excellent boating and fishing. Experience the Charm of one of the oldest cities in California, with one of the best preserved Historic Downtown Areas, on the National Register of Historic Places. Victorian homes and Iron Front buildings surround this charming Riverfront town.

There are two ways to get involved with Petaluma flotilla:
First, you can join a boat skippered by an OCSC instructor. Spend Friday night onboard a Catalina 36, meeting your crewmates and provisioning the boat. Then on Saturday morning, you'll meet your skipper, and cast off. Dinner will be ashore at one of the many restaurants in town. No experience is needed to join this boat. It’s perfect for new members working on their certifications who want to do some fun sailing with a professional instructor. Expect lots of experiential learning as well as a great adventure.

Or, you can charter your own boat. For OCSC members, there's no extra fee to reserve your own boat at the special weekender rate and join the flotilla. OCSC has reserved five slips at the Petaluma marina.
